SUMMARY:Collage/Mixed Media for Families: JUNETEENTH Quilt Project
DESCRIPTION:Calling all Harlem families! \nCome on out and join artist Elan Cadiz for her fun mixed-media classes designed for the whole family. We will build\, cut\, rip\, draw\, paste\, and more. Each class will highlight a topic\, and participants will leave with a one-of-a-kind collage. \n \nSaturday\, June 27\nTheme: JUNETEENTH Quilt Project \nIn the celebration of Juneteenth\, this specialized collage workshop will highlight the use of visual arts to tell stories. Each participant will construct a panel of our community quilt\, illustrating a story of freedom through the use of fabric\, markers\, and paint. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTime: 1 to 3 pm\nFor: Families with children\, but adults are welcome as well. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No drop-off allowed.\nFee: $5 or Pay-What-You-Can\nRegistration is required to participate: Register Today!\n\nOn June 27 (noon to 6 pm)\, CAC is also hosting an open studio event. Step inside the workspace\, open to the public for a special studio visit.
