DESCRIPTION:Black N’ White of It with Aleathia Brown \n\n\nVenue: The Children’s Art Carnival\n62 Hamilton Terrace\, Harlem\, NY 10031\n\nDate: Friday\, August 21\, 2026\,  6-9 PM\n\n\n\nBlack and White designs date back to ancient Africa from 100\,000 to 200\,000 years ago\, with geometric patterns and painted sketches influencing design today. When well done\, black & white art can be as bold and colorful compositionally as the allure of using the spectrum of colors. \nIn this Adult Art is Wellness session\, participants walk away with their own personal masterpiece\, including symbolic elements of the past. The journey each will experience connects with identity\, flow\, spirituality\, and a message. Layered with details\, we celebrate the power of Black on a White surface. \nArt from a designing perspective beautifies and\, regarding purpose\, solves a problem. The key component to unlocking Your imagination during this Art workshop is playing with a variety of patterns from made-up to existing\, then blending until a bold new creation is born. This Art Workshop will be guided by Master Teaching Artist Aleathia Brown.
