Get ready to unleash your creativity with Gelli Printing on Fabric and Paper by Dindga McCannon – it’s going to be messy and fun!

Create vibrant, layered prints using Gelli plates on both paper and fabric! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore color, texture, and pattern while making your own prints and a collaborative fabric banner.

Perfect for all ages—no experience necessary, just bring your creativity!

FOR: Adults and Children over 6 years old

One person$10 (+ $2.51 registration fee)
One Caregiver and One Child$14 (+ $2.78 registration fee)
One Caregiver and Two Children$18 (+ $3.05 registration fee)

If you are bringing more than two children, please select Caregiver and Two Children and indicate the number of children by emailing us at childrens.art.carnival@gmail.com. We appreciate suggested donations of $4/child, payments via the Square App, or cash when you arrive at CAC.

About the facilitators:

Dindga McCannon has been a WEUSI artist since the 1960s. She is a fiber and mixed-media artist, writer, illustrator, painter, wearable art maker, costume designer, muralist, printmaker, and mother. Her work fuses traditional needlework skills with fine art practices. In 1971, McCannon co-founded Where We At, a groundbreaking collective of Black women artists.
