Community Art Socials featuring artist, Élan Cadiz

March 29 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM EDT

Élan Cadiz

Join us on Friday, March 29, 2024, at The Children’s Art Carnival from 6:00 – 8:00 pm for our sixth Community Arts Social Event featuring Interdisciplinary artist, Élan Cadiz’. Élan’s art and practice are grounded in the documentation of her personal narrative through the use of portraiture, domestic and historical imagery.

Community Arts Socials are weekly gatherings for artists, creative individuals to connect with each other and members of the Northern Manhattan community. These social events provide a platform for the guest artist to introduce themselves and showcase their artistic endeavors to all attendees. Artist presentations can last up to an hour, with the remaining time dedicated to fostering connections among artists and creatives. The events feature food, beverages, music, and interactive creative activities, aiming to establish The Children’s Art Carnival as uptown’s hub for artists and creatives. Moreover, the CAC Socials serve as opportunities to fundraise for the Children’s Arts Carnival.

(RSVP with donation)

Community Arts Socials @ The Children’s Art Carnival are made possible with funding from West Harlem Development Corporation.

About The Artist:
Élan Cadiz an interdisciplinary, multi ethnic, multi racial, North American, native New Yorker, and Visual Artist that deconstructs and balances her intersectionality through her projects. Élan’s art and practice are grounded in the documentation of her personal narrative through the use of portraiture, domestic and historical imagery.

Cadiz’s artworks explore the ways societal and personal histories overlap and affect individual relationships, power dynamics and identity.

Élan Cadiz’s intention is to speak to the boundless potential in humanity despite impediments and ways our pasts can inform our future for the better. Her goal is to have viewers question their condition(s) in ways that bring about helpful inner inquiry and thoughtful discussion.
