Fabric Mosaic Workshop – for Adults

October 19 @ 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM EDT

Experience a warm, welcoming adult-only workshop that begins with an exclusive tour of fiber artist and painter Tomo Mori’s inspiring studio. Enjoy an intimate presentation of Tomo’s latest artwork as she shares the story behind her unique technique—how it began in 2010 and evolved into her signature style.

Next, you’ll discover how to transform ordinary fabric scraps into beautiful tiles with plenty of helpful tips and tricks. After cutting your colorful shapes, you’ll have fun designing and gluing your own unique collage using the mosaic technique. Every step is easy and accessible—perfect for beginners and creative explorers alike!

This is a rare opportunity—Tomo hasn’t taught this workshop since 2020, and she rarely offers it. Come find out what makes this experience so special, and don’t miss your chance to make your special piece with her!

NOTES:
If you would like to bring your own fabric, you are welcome to do so. Non-stretch cotton fabric works the best. You can bring your own fabric scissors, but we will have scissors, brush, gel medium, and pre-painted canvas boards for everyone (included in the fee).

Acrylic gel medium can be hard to remove once it sticks to your clothes, so please wear or bring old T-shirts or an apron. This is a process/technique-based workshop, so if you miss steps, it will be difficult for the group; please try to arrive on time.
