Festive Upcycled Ornaments & Holiday Décor Workshop

December 19 @ 1:00 PM EST

In this hands-on workshop, participants will dive into a treasure trove of crafting supplies to turn everyday cardboard tubes (2–3 rolls per person) into stunning holiday decorations. Using silk paper, beads, festive fabrics, and twine, they will design unique ornaments to hang on their holiday tree or decorate their homes for the festive season.

Key Materials: Salvaged cardboard tubes, tissue/silk paper, beads, holiday fabric ribbons, twine, embellishments.

Date: Saturday, December 19, 1-3 PM
Facilitator: Vickie Frémont
For: Families with Children. Adults are also welcome.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. No drop-off allowed.
Fee: $5 Per Child (Under 18) / $10 Per Adult

About Facilitator: 

Vickie Frémont is a multicultural artist, anthropologist, designer, and educator with over twenty years of experience in arts-based education, intercultural dialogue, and international cultural programming. Her work lies at the intersection of culture, art, sustainability, and social responsibility, using creative methodologies to foster critical thinking, collective engagement, and empowerment among diverse communities.
