On June 4, 1975, Muhammad Ali gave a commencement speech to a group of Harvard students. Someone shouted, ‘Give us a poem, Muhammad,’ and he paused, looked up, and said: ‘Me? We’.
As part of Fall of Freedom, a movement to celebrate freedom of speech & expression, master artist and art educator, élan cadiz, created a fun, family workshop at the historic Children’s Art Carnival in Harlem, NYC.
Participants will be guided with prompts and fine art materials to create a one-of-a-kind accordion art book inspired by Muhammad Ali’s poem, Me We.
About Facilitator: Elan Cadiz
Art Education is an important part of Elan’s artistic practice.
